Open Source Development has a 12000 sq. foot state-of-the-art development center located in the National Capital Region of India. Equipped with the latest in hardware and software, our development center provides an ideal environment for carrying out software development activities.

 

 

Fast Facts

Here are a few facts of our development center...

a) Servers:

  • Fedora Core9 -3 Nos.
  • Windows 2003 Enterprise Servers- 4 Nos.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Servers -2 Nos

b) Workstations:

We have latest workstations available for our team with minimum configuration of following:
RAM: 2 MB
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz
HDD: 160 GB
Monitor: 17" TFT

c) Communications:

All project managers and developers are equipped with direct phone lines and mobiles. We also use Skype, MSN and Yahoo Messenger to do voice and text chat.

d) Office Bandwidth:

We have 50 mbps dedicated line with strong back bone.

e) Network Speed:

All workstations are connecting with 1GB Ethernet Card.

f) Backup Policy:

All servers are running RAID live mirroring

  • Daily: All Server data is backed up to a central Backup server. Then daily backup routines put daily backup on Tape [Tape Set / Week Day]
  • Weekly: All tapes are rotated with a new set, the old set is stored in an offsite safe

g) Project Management and Source Control:

We use SVN for source control and Trac for internal project management.
